Questions

About the email address checker

Does this check if the mailbox exists?

The free tool checks the address and its domain. The API can also ask the mail server whether the mailbox exists (mailbox verification), for 5 extra credits.

What does 'role account' mean?

An address like info@, sales@ or support@ that usually reaches a team inbox rather than one person. Fine for B2B contact forms, a weak signal for personal accounts.

Why do you show a canonical address?

Gmail ignores dots and anything after a +, so j.ane+1@gmail.com and jane@gmail.com reach the same inbox. Compare canonical addresses to spot one person creating many accounts.
