The free audit

Connect read-only access to your AI providers and your work and coding agents and get a report of the last 30 days within the hour, free at any spend size.

The audit reads the last 30 days from every provider and agent you connect and reports what it found, within the hour, on any plan. Nothing is installed and no code changes.

Run it

  1. Under Settings › Connections, add a read-only admin key for each provider and agent you use. The integrations page says which key each one needs.
  2. On Free audit in the dashboard, select Run the free audit. Owners and admins can start it.
  3. Veqen reads every key's usage hour by hour where the provider reports it, what each provider billed day by day, and every agent seat and the person holding it. The report is ready within the hour, whatever hasn't answered by then is listed as unread, and owners and admins get an email.

Free includes one audit a month. Paid plans can run it again after an hour, though protection checks every hour anyway.

What the report shows

  • Needs action: keys whose spend looks like a stolen key, such as a key nobody used in 30 days waking up, a departed owner's key spending, or a key running models keys stolen elsewhere ran, and keys that belong to people who left.
  • Worth a look: keys running models they never have or spending far above their usual hour, keys unused for 30 days or open to any API, days a provider billed above its own rate card, coding-tool seats nobody uses with what they cost a month, and connections Veqen couldn't read.
  • All clear: everything else matched what was billed.
  • Work and coding agents: each person's cost over the 30 days, for owners, admins, finance and security members.

The audit opens no incidents and sends no alerts. On a paid plan, the same checks run every hour and open incidents you can act on (see Protection).

Share it

Share inside the company creates a link that opens the report for anyone signed in to your organization, for 30 days, and each person's cost still shows only to owners, admins, finance and security members. Sharing can be stopped at any time. Print or save as PDF keeps a copy outside Veqen.

Your access

The keys you connect only read: Veqen never sends a model request with them, never reads prompts, code or responses, and changes nothing. Disconnecting a provider or tool under Settings › Connections deletes the billing, usage, keys and seats it read, and revoking its admin key at the provider stops Veqen reading at once. On Free, connections that only read keys stay after the audit, so the next one can read them.

The API has it too: GET /v1/audit for the latest report and POST /v1/audit to run one.
